Why We Give
መስጠት፣ የክርስቶስ መንፈሳዊ ቤተሰብ አባላት እንደመሆናችን መጠን እንድናካፍል የተጠራንበትን ንጹሕና መሥዋዕትነት የሚጠይቅ ፍቅር የምንገልጽበት ጥልቅ መንገድ ነው። በፈለገ ሕይወት እየሱስ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን፣ ልግስና ሸክም ሳይሆን — በደስታ የምንፈጽመው የተቀደሰ መብት እንደሆነ እናምናለን። በእግዚአብሔር ወሰን የሌለው ምሕረት ውስጥ የምንሳተፍበት እና ወደ ሥነ ምግባር ፍጽምና የምንጓዝበት ኃይለኛ መንገድ ነው።
ሲሰጡ፣ የአጥቢያ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን በጀት ብቻ እየደገፉ አይደለም። ይልቁንም የእውነተኛውን የክርስቲያን እምነት ማደሪያ በተግባር እያጸኑ ነው። ስጦታዎ የተራቡትን ለሚመግቡ አገልግሎቶች፣ ወጣቶቻችንን በሐዋርያዊ ትውፊት ለሚያሳድጉ መርሐ ግብሮች፣ እንዲሁም አእምሮን ለማብራትና ልብን ወደ ቅድስና ለመሳብ የእግዚአብሔርን ሕያው ቃል ለሚያዳርሱ ተልእኮዎች ይውላል።
እያንዳንዱ ስጦታ (ገንዘብ) በጥብቅ ተጠያቂነት፣ በግልጽነት፣ እና እግዚአብሔርን ለማክበር ባለ ጥልቅ ቁርጠኝነት ይተዳደራል፤ ይህም ማኅበረሰባችን ከፍተኛውን የሰው ልጅ ዓላማ — ይኸውም እውነተኛውን የፈጣሪያችንን መልክ ለማንጸባረቅ — እንዲችል ይረዳል።
"እያንዳንዱ በልቡ እንዳሰበ ይስጥ፥ በኀዘን ወይም በግድ አይደለም፤ እግዚአብሔር በደስታ የሚሰጠውን ይወዳልና።"
